Our client is a rapidly growing Series D health-tech company transforming the way patients, providers, and health systems manage care. Backed by top-tier investors, the company is scaling quickly and would be joining an accounting team of 6 people.
The team is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in overseeing month-end close, managing lease accounting under ASC 842, and performing in-depth analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts. This is a high-visibility position with exposure to leadership and the opportunity to shape processes as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own critical components of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Maintain and update account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and driving resolution.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial packages for management and investors.
- Manage the end-to-end lease accounting process under ASC 842, including classification, measurement, and ongoing monitoring of lease arrangements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the close cycle.
- Prepare audit support for external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 + industry preferred; health-tech/SaaS a plus).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern ERPs (NetSuite preferred).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
