We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to design, own, and drive the continued evolution of our Palo Alto-based network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the Palo Alto network infrastructure
Own the architecture and configuration standards across Palo Alto and Cisco network environments
Champion network security best practices including encryption, firewalls, DDoS protection, and compliance requirements across the team
Define and oversee comprehensive testing strategies to validate network performance, redundancy, and failover capabilities
Guide and mentor engineers in identifying and resolving network issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring long-term reliability
Own the creation of detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures for the network infrastructure
Serve as the primary technical liaison in the network space and work across engineering, SREs, and infrastructure teams to align on architecture and strategy
Required Skills
MS in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
Palo Alto, Cisco Professional or Expert certifications
10+ years of network experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco or Palo Alto environments, with at least 2–3 years in a technical lead or principal capacity
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network security protocols
Strong BGP / OSPF protocols understanding, configuration, and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of IPsec and SSL VPNs
Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls and switches
Experience with common network automation tools: Python, Perl, or other scripting languages and tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins)
Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams, influence without authority, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
