Responsibilities
As a System Integration Engineer in the Signal Sources organization you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Keysight. In this position you will be working with cross-functional technical teams to solve complex design challenges and bring products to market. You will partner with Product Management, Industry Solution Teams (IST), Application Engineers, and customers to translate requirements into design decisions, working at the intersection of hardware, software, calibration, and verification to ensure new products come together as a cohesive, high-performing system.
Your Primary Job Responsibilities Include Working With a Multi-discipline Team Spanning R&D, Product Management, NPI/OF, Marketing, Sales, And Customer Support To:
- Work with Product Management, Industry Solution Teams (IST), Application Engineers, and customers to understand requirements and determine how they impact the design, implementation, manufacturability, and serviceability of the product.
- Take an active role in the cross functional design of the product to ensure successful system integration of hardware, software, calibration, and verification elements.
- Work with software and New Product Introduction (NPI) and Order Fulfillment (OF) teams to define and implement hardware control, calibration, and alignment algorithms.
- Define test criteria and work with NPI/OF to ensure characterization of the product is complete and that required specifications are achieved.
- Document designs including the design goals, the core concepts of the design, the theory of operation, the details of the design, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Remain engaged with the product throughout its lifecycle to assist ISTs, Application Engineers, Marketing, Support, and Customers in ensuring successful adoption of the product in our target market.
For locations hired outside of Santa Rosa there will be travel required to Santa Rosa CA for training and collaboration through project lifecycles.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in a combination of the following disciplines: RF design, Digital design Software/firmware design, Hardware control/correction, System Verification.
- Experience leading other engineers on complex technical projects
- Ability to work across a wide range of product development functions.
- Expertise in RF measurement techniques, algorithms, and metrology.
- Deep knowledge of test equipment, RF block diagrams, and how design decisions impact critical specifications.
- Comfortable participating in customer engagements.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with (C/C++/C#/Java/Python/Perl/Tcl).
- Proficiency in scripting/software environments for automated validation and simulation
- Proficiency in RF simulation and signal processing tools: ADS, SystemVue, MATLAB, etc.
- Measurement experience in one or more of the following areas: signal analyzers, signal generators, I/Q modulation and demodulation, phase noise measurements, and vector network analysis.

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range: MIN $149,000.00 - MAX $249,000.00
Colorado Springs, CO Pay Range: MIN $138,000.00 - MAX $231,000.00
