About the Opportunity

micro1 is partnering with leading AI organizations to improve next-generation AI systems using expert academic knowledge. We are seeking experienced Sociology Teachers and Postsecondary Educators to contribute their expertise in sociology, curriculum development, assessment design, and research-based instruction.

In this role, you'll help develop high-quality educational content, evaluation frameworks, and assessment materials that improve how AI systems understand and apply sociological concepts. No prior AI experience is required—your subject matter expertise is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Design assessment tasks rooted in sociological concepts and theories.

- Create clear, measurable prompts suitable for educational evaluation.

- Develop detailed rubrics aligned with learning objectives and pedagogical best practices.

- Review and provide constructive feedback on educational materials and assessments.

- Synthesize sociological literature and research to support content development.

- Document rationale, grading criteria, and evaluation standards for tasks and rubrics.

- Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine educational content and evaluation frameworks.

Required Qualifications

- PhD or ABD in Sociology or a closely related discipline.

- Experience teaching sociology at the postsecondary or university level.

- Strong understanding of sociological theory, research methods, and contemporary social issues.

- Experience designing assessments, assignments, grading rubrics, or educational materials.

- Familiarity with pedagogical frameworks such as Bloom’s Taxonomy and learning outcome design.

- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to evaluate academic work objectively and provide actionable feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

- Active research, publication, or academic engagement within sociology.

- Experience developing curriculum, course content, or assessment frameworks.

- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative sociological research methods.

- Experience reviewing student work, academic writing, or educational resources.

- Familiarity with online learning environments and digital education tools.

- Previous experience contributing to educational evaluation, content review, or AI-related projects.

Compensation

- $50–$90/hour
