The Role
We are looking for a Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer to provide technical coordination and project support across civil and construction activities. The role offers an opportunity to contribute engineering knowledge to project planning, design coordination, site-related requirements, documentation, and quality objectives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a flexible remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of civil engineering and construction activities.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, project documentation, and engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against agreed schedules, deliverables, and technical requirements.
- Assist with quantity reviews, material requirements, cost-related information, and project documentation.
- Identify potential technical, construction, quality, or scheduling issues and support practical solutions.
- Contribute to quality assurance and ensure work aligns with applicable project standards and specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, meeting notes, and project records.
- Support risk assessment, project planning, and coordination of engineering priorities.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with project teams to achieve efficient project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in civil engineering or construction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.
- Knowledge of construction materials, project documentation, specifications, and quality practices.
- Familiarity with construction planning, scheduling, quantity assessment, and project coordination.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and communicating engineering requirements.
- Ability to identify project issues and develop practical, technically sound solutions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing priorities independently within a remote, part-time working environment.
