Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Infrastructure Engineers to support the delivery and ongoing operation of complex enterprise ICT infrastructure within a large Australian Government environment.
The role will focus on designing, implementing, managing and maintaining physical, virtual, network and cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include supporting Linux-based systems, automating system builds and delivering scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Key activities include installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance, applying patches and upgrades, troubleshooting complex technical issues and maintaining infrastructure reliability.
The Infrastructure Engineers will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary technical teams to develop solutions, improve operational processes and support the achievement of business and technical objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Linux-based ICT infrastructure, including servers and/or network devices.
- Strong experience with system monitoring and authentication services.
- Demonstrated experience using automation tools such as Ansible to prepare, standardise and replicate system builds.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure reliability, including configuration automation, upgrades, patching and performance monitoring.
- Experience using version control systems to manage infrastructure configurations and changes.
- Experience installing and removing hardware and software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including resolving complex or unpredictable infrastructure issues.
- Ability to design and implement solutions aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Experience developing scripts or small programs using Python, Bash or similar languages is highly desirable.

- Work locations: Canberra ACT, Melbourne VIC or Adelaide SA.
- Working arrangement: Primarily onsite.
