Role Description This full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager UK and Ireland is responsible for driving growth of DQS' services within the assigned region. The role includes identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, and managing the sales pipeline from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure. The Business Development Manager collaborates with technical and delivery teams to develop tailored proposals, prepare bids, and present DQS' capabilities to potential clients. Day-to-day activities involve market research, account planning, regular client meetings (virtual and onsite as needed), and accurate forecasting and reporting of business development activities. The position also requires close coordination with global and regional leadership to align local strategies with broader business objectives and contribute to long-term customer retention.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within risk management, technical services, marine/offshore, energy, or industrial sectors.

- Strong skills in relationship-building, stakeholder management, and client communication, with the ability to influence and negotiate at multiple organizational levels.

- Demonstrated ability in market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning for the UK and Ireland.

- Capability to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and bids, working collaboratively with technical and operations teams.

- Solid commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, contracts, and meeting revenue and margin targets.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and strong presentation skills for both in-person and virtual meetings.

- High level of self-motivation, organization, and time management, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

- Familiarity with risk, reliability, safety, or asset integrity services is highly beneficial.

- Comfort with CRM systems, digital collaboration tools, and standard office software to manage pipelines, reporting, and communication.
