One of our top clients is currently looking for an AI Project Manager to lead a wide range of AI-related projects involving both internal and external stakeholders.
- This is a fully remote position, and you can work from anywhere in Japan.
- Foreign employees are also allowed to work remotely from their home country for up to six months per year.
In this role, you will manage AI development projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, collaborating closely with clients, cross-functional stakeholders, and overseas development teams, and contributing to the development and execution of AI-based solutions.
Depending on your experience and skills, you may also take full ownership and independently lead projects.

Responsibilities
Project Management
- Understand project objectives and define actionable plans to achieve them
- Manage schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary
- Identify risks and issues that may impact the development team’s commitments and support their resolution
Communication
- Maintain an overall understanding of project status and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Escalate critical issues when necessary
- Manage business relationships with external stakeholders and negotiate and coordinate to ensure project commitments are fulfilled
- Maintain close communication with team members to understand progress, challenges, and motivation
- Collaborate with overseas development teams
Leadership
- Regularly identify and resolve team challenges and continuously improve processes
- Work with stakeholders to create a productive and collaborative working environment
- Improve team productivity and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Depending on your experience, preferences, and skills, you may independently lead projects
Requirements
Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on project management experience
- Business-level English (TOEIC 750+ as a guideline)
- Native-level Japanese or equivalent proficiency (JLPT N1+ as a guideline)
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge or practical experience in AI-related projects
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience working with offshore development teams
- Experience in client-facing / contract-based development projects
- Certified Scrum Master qualification (CSM, LSM, PSM I)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- IPA Project Manager certification
