Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Lead

Sanderson are seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Lead to join a large and diverse organisation operating across multiple locations in Ireland.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of internal communications and colleague engagement initiatives that connect employees to the organisation's strategy, values and culture. Working closely with HR and business leaders, you will create compelling communications, deliver high-impact engagement programmes and help strengthen the employee experience across both office-based and frontline teams.
Summary
You will lead the planning and delivery of internal communications and engagement activity across the organisation, ensuring employees receive clear, consistent and engaging information through a variety of channels.
You will also play a key role in developing engagement initiatives that promote connection, recognition, wellbeing, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging internal communications across multiple channels, including digital platforms, newsletters, presentations, videos and email campaigns.
- Own and manage the annual internal communications calendar.
- Create high-quality content using tools such as Canva, Microsoft 365 and communications platforms.
- Identify new ways to improve colleague communication and engagement across diverse employee populations.
- Lead employee engagement programmes and initiatives that support an inclusive and connected culture.
- Manage key activities including recognition programmes, wellbeing campaigns, town halls, conferences and colleague events.
- Coordinate annual employee engagement survey communications and support action planning initiatives.
- Partner with HR teams to deliver communications supporting talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and organisational change.
- Support employer brand activity through employee stories, career development content and business updates.
- Measure the effectiveness of communications and engagement initiatives through analytics, feedback and engagement data.
- Continuously bring new ideas and innovative approaches to improve the employee experience.
About You
You are a strong communicator who combines creativity with commercial awareness. You enjoy building relationships, influencing stakeholders and delivering initiatives that have a measurable impact on employee engagement.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Approximately 4-6 years' experience in internal communications, employee engagement, events or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating digital content using Canva, Microsoft 365 and employee communications platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience leading initiatives from concept through to execution.
- Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- Creative, proactive and passionate about delivering an outstanding employee experience.
