Company Description
Revel Studios is a Norfolk-based creative agency working across video production, creative strategy and design. We make content that helps businesses connect with the people who matter to them. Our client list runs from local Norfolk organisations to national brands.

There are a handful of us. We grow steadily and deliberately, taking people on when the work is there and we can look after them properly.

Small team, broad reach, and a stubborn belief that the work should actually mean something.
Role Description
We're looking for a lead videographer to join us full time at our studio in Poringland, just outside Norwich. Someone who can take a shoot or a project and lead it, and who'll help us carry on making the work better every year.

Day to day, that means planning and running shoots, handling camera, sound and lighting on location and in the studio, taking stills where the job calls for it, and cutting and grading your own work. You'd lead on set alongside our director Tom, and you'd have a hand in bringing on the less experienced people around you, which mostly means showing them how you did something instead of just doing it for them. Client relationships stay with us, so you can concentrate on the work.

There are few enough of us that your work would show up in most of what we put out. We're relaxed, we look after our clients properly and we look after each other, and someone who's good at the job and easy to have around on a long day will do well here.

How to apply

There's no form to fill in. Email [email protected] with Lead Videographer in the subject line, and send us three things.

- A link to your work. A reel, or three or four pieces, with a line on each saying what was actually yours

- Two or three lines on a shoot day that didn't go to plan, and what you did about it

- Your CV, and one page is plenty

We read everything ourselves and you'll hear back either way.
Qualifications

- Someone who brings good energy to a shoot day, for the crew and for the client. That matters far more to us than the length of your software list

- You care about what goes out with your name on it, and you want every job to be as good as it can be, every time

- Able to plan a shoot and run it, and think fast and stay positive when the weather turns or an interviewee drops out an hour before you were due to film them

- Confident across camera, sound and lighting, on location and in the studio, whether that's a controlled interview or a live event you only get one pass at

- You can tell while you're still shooting what you're actually going to use, and you're happy to leave the rest on the floor

- Strong fluency across the Adobe Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, plus colour grading and stills

- One thing you're really strong at and want to push further, whether that's motion design, drone, lighting or sound

- Happy to bring on someone less experienced, which mostly means showing them how you did something instead of just doing it for them

- Full UK driving licence. Most of our work is across Norfolk and Suffolk, with trips further afield
