Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Central Store Manager to manage and oversee central store operations, inventory control, material movement, and logistics coordination. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring safe and systematic storage of batteries and materials, and coordinating closely with Store In-Charges across all Battery Regeneration Centers to ensure timely availability and smooth movement of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of the Central Store, including material receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch.
- Coordinate with Store In-Charges of all Battery Regeneration Centers to monitor inventory, material requirements, stock movement, and operational requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation, labeling, stacking, and safe handling of batteries and other materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely updating of stock in the system.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Battery Regeneration Centers for material requirements and replenishment.
- Coordinate inward and outward movement of batteries, materials, and other inventory between the Central Store and Regeneration Centers.
- Prepare and maintain GRN, Material Issue/Receipt Notes, Delivery Challan, E-way Bill, LR, POD, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth logistics and material movement.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, security, and optimum utilization of store space.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly store, inventory, and stock reports for management.
- Monitor stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, and excess inventory and report them to management.
- Support stock audits, physical verification, internal audits, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs related to stores, inventory, and logistics.
- Perform any other store, inventory, coordination, or operational duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores Management, or Operations will be an added advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in Store, Warehouse, Inventory, or Logistics operations.
- Experience in handling multiple stores/locations will be preferred.
