About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data engineering and cloud technologies who is looking to expand their skills in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure, and SQL, along with exposure to Python for data processing and automation. This position requires working during Pacific Time business hours and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and optimize scalable data solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Build and support data integration workflows using Snowflake and Azure technologies.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Assist with data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across multiple data sources.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
- Monitor and maintain data platform performance and resolve production issues.
- Support automation efforts and process improvements using Python where applicable.
- Document data workflows, processes, and technical specifications.
What You'll Need (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related data-focused role.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and best practices.
- Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time during Pacific Time business hours.
Nice to Have (Preferred)
- Experience with Python for data engineering, scripting, or automation.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or related Azure data services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control tools such as Git.
- Exposure to data governance, security, and performance optimization practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
