Full Stack Software Engineer / Hybrid / Detroit, MI
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing engineering team building an innovative, scalable platform supporting the personal lending space.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys owning meaningful product and technical initiatives from concept through production. You’ll work closely with product and business partners, make architectural and technical tradeoffs, and build solutions where success is measured by real outcomes—including adoption, conversion, reliability, and user experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and supporting production applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
- True full-stack development experience, with the ability to independently own functionality across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with Next.js and/or NestJS strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, API/backend development, and modern frontend engineering.
- Experience working with microservices architectures and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and production support.
- Experience working with AWS and Docker.
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions while balancing scalability, maintainability, speed, and business requirements.

Daily Responsibilities
- Own full-stack features and technical initiatives from initial problem statement through production deployment and ongoing iteration.
- Build scalable, production-ready applications across the frontend and backend using React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
- Partner directly with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and make thoughtful tradeoffs.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable, and well-documented code while participating in peer code reviews.
- Make architectural decisions and help establish engineering patterns and best practices through hands-on development.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, production monitoring, observability, and post-production support.
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the team's standards around quality, scalability, pragmatism, and delivery speed.
- Build and maintain applications that responsibly handle regulated and sensitive data, including PII/PIFI.
