Role Description The Mechanical Engineer role at Luma Construction ApS is a full-time, on-site position located in Odense. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and components for construction and industrial projects, using CAD tools to create detailed models and technical drawings. Daily tasks include collaborating with project managers, architects, and other engineers, performing calculations and simulations to ensure safety and performance, and supporting R&D activities to improve designs and processes. The role involves preparing documentation, participating in design reviews, providing technical input during installation and commissioning, and ensuring that all mechanical solutions comply with relevant standards and regulations. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical work within project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in mechanical systems for construction or industrial applications.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for developing detailed models, layouts, and technical drawings.
- Experience with Project Management, including coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to conduct Research and Development (R&D) to evaluate new materials, methods, and technologies for improved mechanical solutions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and mechanical design codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication skills in English; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Experience with construction or industrial projects in a similar role is an advantage.
