What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):
As Senior Application Development and Support team member , you will be responsible for supporting multiple Tier 1 Critical applications both prod and non-prod. This role ensures that application systems are robust, secure, and aligned with business requirements by participating in the technical design, development, and integration of multi-platform systems. You will provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects and initiatives related to development, testing, implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi-platform environment. The successful candidate may be required to be on call and accessible 24/7.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):
- Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance. Should be able lead complex design and be a key anchor on the design of implementation projects.
- Analysis & Support: Evaluate service requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes. Coordinate and execute implementation plans.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Identify and resolve small to medium complex production problems. Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Detail Oriented: You understand that success is in the details. Your critical thinking skills help inform your decision-making, and you notice things that others might miss.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Collaborate with interface partners, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve Production issues and improve service reliability.
- Interact regularly with senior stakeholders to communicate incident status and technical updates.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members and peers to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, using advanced verbal communication skills, including appropriate tone, style, and structure.

JOB DIMENSIONS:
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix software bugs, performance bottlenecks, and system errors.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- 5-7 years of overall IT experience handling Software Development Life Cycle, databases, batch processing and strong experience in Java and SQL Server along with production support experience
- 3 + years of 24/7 production support experience
- Very good understanding of both SDLC and Agile delivery model
- Must have experience in handling production support for Tier 1 or Tier 1 Critical application. Preferable in banking domain applications
- Strong knowledge on programming Languages - Java (Spring Boot / Java 17+), Python scripting
- Strong technical knowledge on RedHat Linux, IBM MQ/Kafka.
- Strong Database knowledge on SQL Server / Azure SQL MI, PostgreSQL — complex queries, stored procedures, partitioning, indexes, execution plans
- Strong Coding Skills on REST APIs, event-driven processing, batch jobs, Azure Function Apps, Service Bus / Event Hub.
- Strong understating on Web technologies like Java, SpringBoot, Node JS etc.
- Strong Design knowledge on Microservices, SOLID principles, design patterns, Azure cloud-native development
- Strong Knowledge on Azure cloud development and designs focused on
- App Services, Network Security Groups, Monitor, Data Lake, Data Factory, SQL/MI, Event Hub/Kafka, Function App, Key Vault
- Knowledge on DevOps, CI/CD pipeline deployment using Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions
- Knowledge on Infra and application log monitoring applications (like Dynatrace) is an added advantage.
- Should have exposure on AI / Copilot: GitHub Copilot experience for AI-assisted development
- Should be capable to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies as required with time.
Good to Have:
- Understanding of large value payments and Wires, SWIFT, ISO 20022, LVTS/LYNX.
- Experience of Swift products (AMH, SAG, AWP) and FIS OPF
