Job Description
Strategy
- Support implementation of inspection procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards across all assigned transport modes.
- Contribute to improving service quality through accurate reporting and field observations.
Operations
- Receive and implement the daily work schedule and maintain custody of inspection tools.
- Verify payment compliance across all transport modes using approved methods and take required action for violations.
- Check functionality of devices and systems in transportation means and coordinate corrective actions with RTA.
- Respond to public inquiries, provide accurate information, and promote public transport culture through maps, schedules, and awareness materials.
- Prepare reports that support enhancement of public transport services and submit inspection results to the direct supervisor.
- Exercise judicial control powers and issue violations and fines to non-compliant users, drivers, and operators across all transport modes.
- Submit fines paid by bus passengers to financial management as per approved procedures.
- Work beyond official hours when required and perform additional assigned tasks.
Product/Process Improvement
- Monitor permits for school and chartered buses and ensure compliance with approved laws.
- Monitor maritime operations for safety, security, and environmental compliance and submit periodic reports.
- Verify adherence to security and safety requirements across all transport means and facilities, including parking areas, shelters, docks, and networks.
- Take necessary measures during accidents or breakdowns to ensure passenger safety and coordinate with the Transport Bus Control Center.
- Monitor bus services (public, school, chartered, tourist, international) for compliance with approved regulations and circulars.
Qualifications
- High School
- 0 years post high school experience in related area
- Strong knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks
- Understanding of inspection principles, standards, and regulatory procedures
- Experience in legislative compliance and legal activities
- Knowledge of maritime law and navigation standards
- Ability to manage incidents, risks, and corrective actions effectively
- Familiarity with organizational policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Understanding of public transport policies and planning principles
- Awareness of quality, health, and safety compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and compliance practices
