This role is for a Philippines-based Project Manager with 3-7 years of experience in software or ERP implementations, ideally within the education sector. The successful candidate will own projects from kick-off to go-live, working closely with internal engineering teams using Agile methodologies and Jira. The position requires significant client interaction, including presenting to administrators and IT heads, and involves 50% travel across the Philippines to client campuses. Strong documentation skills and a proactive approach to risk management are essential.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end software or ERP implementations (scoping, planning, UAT, go-live, hypercare)
- Deliver projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies and hands-on Jira for sprint and defect tracking
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (plans, Gantt, RACI, risk/issue registers, UAT trackers, status reports)
- Coordinate and collaborate daily with large internal engineering, QA, and support teams
- Manage client-side stakeholders (sponsors, IT heads, administrators) and present project status and go-live readiness
- Travel 50% across the Philippines to client campuses for project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-7 years of experience in project management of software or ERP implementations
- Proven ownership of at least two full-cycle software or ERP implementations from kick-off through go-live
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum delivery and hands-on experience with Jira for sprint and defect tracking
- Experience with project documentation including project plans, Gantt charts, RACI, risk/issue registers, UAT trackers, and status reports
- Clear written and spoken English communication skills
- Willingness to travel 50% across the Philippines to client campuses
- Strong structured planning, follow-through, and proactive escalation/risk management skills
- Comfortable working with engineers and translating client needs into tickets and priorities
- Client-facing composure when interacting with senior academic administrators
