About The Role
The Mobile Engineer builds and scales iOS and Android applications that serve as primary interfaces to user-facing products. The role covers the full mobile development lifecycle, from architecture and feature delivery through release automation, performance tuning, and production support.
You will work with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data teams to turn product requirements into reliable mobile experiences. The team values engineers who can make sound platform-specific decisions while maintaining shared standards for quality, observability, security, and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship production features for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, and modern platform frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack Compose, and Android SDK
- Design mobile application architecture, state management, networking layers, and offline data flows for maintainable, testable codebases
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, push notifications, analytics, payments, and third-party SDKs
- Improve application performance by profiling startup time, memory usage, battery consumption, rendering behavior, and network efficiency
- Own mobile release workflows using tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Firebase App Distribution, TestFlight, and Google Play Console
- Implement unit, integration, UI, and end-to-end tests; monitor crashes and production health with Crashlytics, Sentry, or equivalent tooling
- Partner with product and design teams in code reviews, technical planning, incident response, and delivery of accessible experiences across device types and operating system versions
What We Are Looking For
- 3–8 years of professional mobile software development experience, with production ownership of iOS, Android, or both platforms
- Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin, including modern concurrency, lifecycle management, dependency injection, and platform SDKs
- Experience building and maintaining mobile applications that consume REST or GraphQL services and handle authentication, caching, error states, and unreliable connectivity
- Demonstrated knowledge of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, modularization, and reactive programming with Combine, Kotlin Coroutines, or Flow
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, app store release processes, crash reporting, logging, and mobile observability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with cross-platform development using React Native or Flutter, mobile security and privacy practices, accessibility standards, internationalization, or published applications with significant user adoption
