About the Role
The Graphic Designer will be part of Factory U/X team and will work on industrial visual communication as well as complete workplace-experience environments. The role involves transforming complex safety, operational and organizational information into clear, engaging and visually powerful communication.
The designer will contribute to projects such as:
• Customer Experience Centers
• Safety Experience Centers
• Training and Innovation Centers
• TPM and DWM Galleries
• Factory-wide visual-management programmes
• Workplace branding and culture communication
• Wayfinding and navigation systems
• Safety and behavior-change campaigns
• Interactive and digital workplace displays
The person must be comfortable developing a design direction, visualizing it within a physical space and converting the approved concept into accurate, production-ready artwork.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workplace and Experience Design
• Develop visual concepts for Customer Experience Centers, Safety Experience Centers, Training Centers, TPM/DWM Galleries and other workplace-experience environments.
• Translate a central concept into a cohesive physical experience across walls, displays, digital screens, installations and interactive elements.
• Create mood boards, spatial themes, wall elevations and realistic mock-ups using site photographs, dimensions and architectural references.
• Work with project, content, fabrication and installation teams to ensure the final execution remains consistent with the approved design.
2. Industrial Visual Communication
• Design factory-wide safety communication, visual-management systems, workplace branding, wayfinding, process displays and behavior-change campaigns.
• Simplify complex safety, technical and operational information into communication that is clear, engaging and easy to understand.
• Develop a consistent visual language across multiple artworks, locations and audience groups.
• Work within customer brand guidelines while maintaining the intended communication and design quality
3. Production Artwork
• Convert approved concepts into accurate, production-ready artwork for large-format printing and different fabrication applications.
• Adapt master designs across multiple sizes, formats, languages and site locations.
• Ensure accuracy in dimensions, scale, bleed, colour modes, image resolution, cut lines, fonts and file packaging.
• Conduct final quality checks and maintain systematic file naming, version control and artwork archives.
4. AI-Assisted Design
• Use AI tools for concept exploration, image generation, visual references, retouching and faster artwork adaptation.
• Write effective prompts to generate industry- and brand-relevant visual content.
• Professionally refine AI-generated outputs and check them for accuracy, realism and production suitability.
• Follow company guidelines on confidentiality, copyright and responsible use of AI.
5. Project Coordination and Quality
• Understand project briefs, technical content, site conditions and customer requirements before beginning the design.
• Participate in internal reviews and customer presentations when required, and incorporate feedback accurately.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve design, production and implementation-related issues.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality, consistency and agreed timelines.
Experience and Educational Background
• 3–4 years of relevant professional design experience.
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, Applied Arts or a related discipline.
• Experience with a design agency, environmental-graphics company, workplace-branding firm, exhibition or experience-design company, or large-format production organization.
• Experience in industrial communication, safety communication, environmental graphics, wayfinding or experience-center design will be strongly preferred.
Required Skills
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDRAW.
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, colour, visual hierarchy and information layout.
• Good image-editing, photo-manipulation and retouching skills.
• Ability to create realistic design mock-ups using actual site photographs.
• Understanding of environmental graphics, spatial storytelling and experience-led design.
• Ability to visualize a complete physical environment—not just an individual poster or signage.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Gemini or equivalent platforms.
• Experience preparing artwork for small-format and large-format printing.
• Ability to interpret measurements, drawings, site photographs and marked-up presentations.
• Ability to work with customer brand guidelines and established visual systems.
• Good command of written English and the ability to identify basic content errors.
• Strong attention to detail, especially while handling safety and technical information.
Preferred Skills
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Blender, Adobe Dimension or other spatial and 3D-visualisation software.
• Understanding of materials, fabrication processes, lighting, digital displays and interactive installations.
• Experience developing mood boards and customer-facing concept presentations.
• Exposure to animation, motion graphics or video editing.
• Experience coordinating with printing, fabrication and installation teams.
