Lemonade Stand Accounting is an accounting firm providing bookkeeping, tax, and fractional CFO services to growth-stage companies. We package these to provide full-service Client Advisory Services (CAS).
The Role
We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and support day-to-day bookkeeping, tax preparation, and client-facing financial reporting for a portfolio of growth-stage business clients. This role is based in the Atlanta Metro area on a hybrid schedule, with regular in-office time balanced with remote work. You'll work closely with our leadership team as we scale our CAS offering.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries) for a portfolio of clients
- Maintain accurate general ledgers in QuickBooks Online
- Support tax preparation workstreams and coordinate with our tax team during filing season
- Communicate directly with clients to gather documents, answer questions, and explain financials
- Identify process improvements and help standardize client workflows as the firm scales
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business or a related field.
- 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (public accounting or outsourced accounting firm experience a plus); or a related internship if you are a recent accounting graduate.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals and month-end close processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working directly with clients
- Spanish fluency a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client deliverables and deadlines
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset. As a growing firm, everyone contributes beyond their job title
Nice to Have
- Experience in one or more of our specialty industries: alcohol beverage, medical devices, medical practices, or restaurants
- Familiarity with practice management tools or tax software. Preferably Canopy and UltraTax
- Interest in advisory-level work as we build out our CAS service line
- Advanced education or credentials like an EA or CPA
