Role Overview
As an Axiom Developer, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end development, configuration, and maintenance of regulatory reporting solutions. You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and global stakeholders to translate complex regulatory requirements into functional Axiom ControllerView workflows. Your work directly impacts the accuracy and timeliness of critical financial filings, ensuring that our clients maintain seamless compliance with international regulatory standards while optimizing their data processing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex regulatory reports within the Axiom ControllerView platform to meet evolving global compliance mandates.
- Architect efficient data models and transformation logic using PL/SQL to ensure high-performance data ingestion and processing within Oracle databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data quality issues and optimize existing reporting workflows for improved scalability.
- Automate routine data management tasks and reporting cycles by developing and maintaining robust Unix shell scripts.
- Partner with business stakeholders to interpret regulatory circulars and translate them into technical specifications for system implementation.
- Conduct thorough unit testing and user acceptance testing to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all regulatory outputs before final submission.
Required Skillset
- Demonstrated expertise in the Axiom ControllerView platform, including report development, portfolio configuration, and data source management.
- Strong proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for large-scale Oracle database environments.
- Proven ability to manage and automate tasks within Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and file system management.
- Deep understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks, such as Basel III, CCAR, or IFRS, and the ability to map these requirements to technical data structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical constraints and solutions to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed team environment while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related quantitative field, supported by 5 - 10 years of professional experience in financial technology or regulatory reporting.
