Position Highlights
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 18 Months
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
First Shift
Second Shift: Additional 10% Shift Differential
Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): Additional 11% Shift Differential
What You Will Be Doing
• Build, repair, test, and troubleshoot electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies.
• Utilize schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, work instructions, and verbal instructions to complete assemblies and repairs.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations and equipment troubleshooting.
• Identify and correct assembly or testing errors.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
• Receive parts and perform audits to ensure all required materials are available for builds and repairs.
• Inspect parts and completed work for defects and quality compliance.
• Enter production progress, labor, and work order details into computer systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures and protocols.
• Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleanroom protocols when required.
What You Need to Bring
• Minimum 2+ years of Manufacturing Technician, Engineering Technician, Electronics Technician, Mechanical Technician, or related experience.
• High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical assembly experience.
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing and assembly environments.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces.
• Ability to lift materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with varying noise levels.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• May operate forklifts and other manufacturing equipment.
