Business Analyst
Description
Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for diverse business and technological needs. Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze requirements. Advises on business analysis policies, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct business analysis to assess problems/opportunities and document requirements for I&IT solutions.
- Apply re-engineering concepts to promote improvements through cost-effective service delivery.
- Align analysis with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, and Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
- Develop strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies.
- Facilitate requirements gathering via JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, and workshops.
- Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, process flow modeling, and define business rules.
- Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report to management and stakeholders.
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for evaluation.
- Experience with CASE tools, stakeholder engagement, and awareness of emerging I&IT trends.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
Skills (55%)
- Lead/facilitate workshops to elicit, review, and confirm requirements.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies; create user stories, UX, functional and technical designs.
- Develop performance measures and conduct follow-up assessments.
- Proficient in tools like DevOps, MS Visio, Figma, and modeling tools.
- Familiarity with QA methodologies, UAT, and validation of requirements.
- Strong change management skills: scope definition, impact analysis, training, and communication.
- Experience developing context diagrams, use cases, process maps, stakeholder maps, and systems diagrams.
- Write business cases, conduct options analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Lead ongoing business analysis across project life cycles, ensuring alignment with OPS methodologies.
- Oversee production support and configuration management.
- Participate in RFP processes, focusing on client requirements and vendor evaluation.
Experience (25%)
- Medium to large project experience as a business analyst or functional consultant.
- Knowledge of enterprise business architecture and OPS standards.
- Experience with SDLC, software design, integration, database concepts, UI design, QA, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Provide technical leadership and functional expertise to project staff.
- Service delivery management, portfolio/program/project management.
- Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience: sprint planning, daily standups, iterative cycles.
- Experience with UI design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
- Budget estimation, ROI assessments, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Risk identification, mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
- Balance priorities, manage expectations, and ensure timely delivery.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills (20%)
- Prepare clear, concise documentation, reports, and assessments.
- Present ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain high customer service standards with clients.
- Convey design concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing requirements and dynamic environments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
