What We Are Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in procurement operations, purchasing, accounts payable, finance operations, contract administration, or a closely related operational role.
- Hands-on experience managing purchase request intake through purchase order completion using a procure-to-pay platform such as Zip, Coupa, Workday, NetSuite, or similar systems.
- Experience working in an organization with meaningful purchasing volume.
- Working knowledge of contract review processes involving Procurement, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of what is required for accurate SOWs, order forms, vendor documentation, and purchasing requests.
- Knowledge of financial controls, including GL coding, spend categories, accruals, and the relationship between contracts, POs, and invoices.
- Experience supporting multiple spend categories such as software/SaaS, professional services, marketing, HR and benefits, workplace, and facilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong data validation skills.
- Ability to identify errors, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure tasks are completed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive issues through resolution.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain procurement, finance, and operational processes to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to ask questions and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple requests with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Zip, Workday Financials, Ironclad, Slack, and Google Sheets.
- Exposure to software security reviews, third-party risk, privacy reviews, or SaaS contracting.
- Previous experience supporting month-end close, accruals, or vendor reconciliation with an accounting or Finance team.
- Experience working at a high-growth technology company where processes are actively being developed and improved.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude to improve research, drafting, data cleanup, or other operational activities.
