Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance team where you will drive business growth, while building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with SME customers and key industry stakeholders within the Construction & Recycling sectors.
Our ideal team member will have previous experience in a customer-facing sales roles within the asset finance sector, with a strong track record of delivering financial targets and will possess strong financial acumen and excellent relationship-building skills.
This is a field based role, so you'll work from your home office, but will spend a significant amount of time travelling on your patch. This role covers a territory across the M4 corridor, so being based anywhere along the M4 (Bristol, Swindon, Reading, or up towards Oxford) would ideally suit this opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to foster repeat business.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle including ensuring timely and precise service delivery and providing customers with the relevant information to close the deal.
- Serve as a knowledgeable and credible finance partner by staying informed of relevant products, market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
- Ensure full compliance with all governance, regulatory and internal requirements, including the accurate and timely completion of all reporting and review activities mandated by regulatory bodies.
- Work collaboratively with the Risk function to ensure the consistent alignment of objectives, adhering fully to the principles of the Enterprise Risk Management framework of the Close Brothers Group.

- A proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and communicate proficiently with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- A results-driven professional with a history of consistently surpassing sales targets.
- Highly self-motivated and exceptionally organised.
- Expertise in negotiation, presentation, and closing deals, employing a consultative sales approach.
- Strong commercial insight and an in-depth understanding of industry trends, business drivers and customer needs.
- A full driver’s license
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
- A proven track record in business development and strategic planning to drive growth.
- Adaptable to rapidly changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Experience with the Transport sector and relevant equipment / assets.
