Arthur is partnering with a leading global insurance organisation to appoint a Data & Analytics Manager within its UK business.
A senior leadership role heading up the Pricing & Analytics team, spanning Data, Analytics, MI, Pricing and Governance, while partnering with Underwriting, Product and senior leadership to improve portfolio performance and drive better commercial decision making.
The Role
You'll take ownership of a broad Data & Analytics remit, including:
- Lead and develop the Pricing & Analytics team
- Own and enhance MI dashboards, analytics and management reporting
- Provide insight across underwriting, pricing, product and portfolio performance
- Oversee analysis and pricing across Delegated Authority products, including commission analysis
- Review pricing models, product definitions and analytical methodologies
- Drive improvements across Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Management
- Support the continuous monitoring of Delegated Authority portfolios, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Work closely with Underwriting and Product teams to turn complex data into meaningful commercial insight
- Provide analytical input into new product development and approval
- Improve and automate existing reporting and analytical processes
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external distribution partners
- Lead wider data initiatives that improve the quality, accessibility and commercial value of information
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Data & Analytics leader who understands how data can be used to improve commercial performance within insurance.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Strong Data & Analytics experience within insurance
- Previous experience leading an Analytics, MI, BI or Data team
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality
- Experience developing and improving MI dashboards and reporting
- Understanding of underwriting, pricing and portfolio performance
- Experience working with Delegated Authority, MGA or intermediary distributed insurance business would be advantageous
- Hands on knowledge of tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python and/or R
Package
£100,000 base salary
15–20% bonus
10% car allowance
