Microsoft Fabric Administrator | Remote / Hybrid (U.S.) | Salary: $100,000 - $185,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
A global professional services organization is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Administrator to take ownership of its enterprise Microsoft Fabric environment. This is a senior-level platform administration role focused on governance, security, performance, resiliency, and adoption across a rapidly growing analytics ecosystem.
The successful candidate will serve as the technical lead for Microsoft Fabric administration, partnering closely with Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, BI, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform remains secure, compliant, scalable, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and govern Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, workspaces, domains, and platform configurations
- Manage Fabric capacity provisioning, utilization monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management
- Oversee capacity scaling, throttling, workload balancing, and operational efficiency
- Configure and maintain security controls, permissions, role-based access, and governance policies
- Administer Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) across Fabric and Power BI semantic models
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID service principals, app registrations, API access, and credential lifecycle management
- Support and maintain on-premises and cloud connectivity through data gateways, including hybrid environments
- Partner with security and governance teams to implement Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, and data protection controls
- Own Fabric CI/CD processes utilizing Deployment Pipelines, Git integration, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
- Develop monitoring, adoption, and performance dashboards for enterprise visibility
- Support backup, disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity planning
- Participate in change management, release management, and incident response processes
- Produce chargeback/showback reporting and consumption reporting for business stakeholders
- Create and maintain administrative documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Provide guidance and best practices to Data Engineers, BI teams, and business users
- Evaluate emerging AI capabilities within the Microsoft data ecosystem and assist with governance initiatives
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft Fabric certification (DP-600 or DP-700 preferred)
- Advanced experience administering Microsoft Fabric in enterprise environments

- Experience integrating Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance controls
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for analytics platforms
- Advanced SQL skills for troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Experience supporting disaster recovery, high availability, and operational resilience initiatives
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms within professional services, legal, financial, or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks, data mesh principles, and Medallion Architecture
- Experience with ServiceNow and ITSM processes
- Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing platform adoption across large organizations
