We are partnering with a Freight Forwarder that's hiring an Import Specialist in Essex.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating communication across our diverse network, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots, ensuring seamless operations.
- Handling LCL shipments
- Coordinating deep sea and air freight shipments
- Auditing supplier invoices for accuracy and addressing discrepancies as necessary.
- Monitoring vessel arrivals to stay ahead of logistics and scheduling needs.
- Initiating and managing internal files to maintain organizational efficiency and document control
- Generating invoices to ensure accurate billing and financial documentation
- Coordinating collections and deliveries, prioritising adherence to customer deadlines for optimal satisfaction
Skills Required:
- 2+ years experience working for a freight forwarder
- Deep sea imports experience
- Air freight knowledge preferred
- Experience using software such as CNS, Multi Freight or Destin8
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
