DevOps Engineer

About the Role
We are hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes, automation, monitoring, and production operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience building, automating, deploying, monitoring, and supporting scalable production environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
Top 5 Must-Have / Required Skills
1. Cloud Platform – AWS / Azure / GCP
Strong hands-on production experience with at least one major cloud platform:
AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Candidates should have experience with compute, networking, storage, IAM, security, load balancing, databases, monitoring, backup, high availability, and cloud infrastructure management.
2. CI/CD and DevOps Tools
Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with tools such as:
Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Git, branching strategies, automated builds, testing, deployment, release management, rollback, and production deployments is required.
3. Infrastructure as Code – Terraform
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform highly preferred.
Candidates should have experience creating reusable infrastructure modules, managing state, provisioning cloud infrastructure, maintaining multiple environments, and implementing version-controlled infrastructure.
Additional experience with CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, Pulumi or Ansible is advantageous.
4. Docker, Kubernetes and Container Orchestration
Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, networking, RBAC, secrets, autoscaling, persistent storage, Helm, cluster administration, troubleshooting, and production workload management.
Experience with EKS, AKS and/or GKE is preferred.
5. Automation, Scripting and Production Operations
Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Shell Scripting and/or PowerShell.
Candidates should have experience automating infrastructure provisioning, deployments, configuration management, operational workflows, monitoring, incident remediation and repetitive production tasks.
Strong Linux administration and production troubleshooting capabilities are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, automate and maintain highly available, secure and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines supporting development, testing, staging and production environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related technologies.
- Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Manage Kubernetes environments across EKS, AKS, GKE or equivalent platforms.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment and operational processes using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Shell and cloud-native automation tools.
- Implement configuration management using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack or equivalent technologies.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK/Elastic Stack, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor or Google Cloud Operations.
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, networking, deployment and performance issues.
- Implement DevSecOps practices including IAM, RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, security controls and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Support high availability, scalability, backup, disaster recovery, capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, postmortems and production reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Security, QA and Product teams to improve deployment velocity, infrastructure reliability and engineering productivity.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant hands-on DevOps experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with less than 5 years of relevant DevOps experience will not be considered.
- Strong production experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline implementation experience.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform.
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.
- Strong Git and version-control knowledge.
- Experience managing production cloud environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with monitoring, logging and observability platforms.
- Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, IAM, security, high availability and disaster recovery.

- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, GitOps, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry, SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault, NGINX, Istio, Service Mesh, FinOps and Chaos Engineering.
- AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform or DevOps certifications are advantageous.
