As a Senior Reconciliation Analyst, you'll play an important role in maintaining strong financial controls across NewDay's Finance Operations function. Working closely with the Reconciliation Manager, you'll deliver robust reconciliation processes, identify and resolve risks, and act as a subject matter expert to support stakeholders across the business.

You'll also help drive automation, process improvements and team capability, ensuring accurate financial reporting while strengthening financial control, reducing operational risk and delivering greater efficiency across the reconciliation function.

How You'll Contribute

- You'll deliver daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation activities, ensuring General Ledger and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in line with policy and controls.

- You'll analyse performance metrics, identify reconciliation risks and support the resolution of outstanding items and complex breaks.

- You'll act as a subject matter expert for Finance Operations reconciliations, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the business.

- You'll partner with Finance Systems to enhance ReconNet performance, improve automation and maximise automated match rates.

- You'll drive process improvements and efficiencies across reconciliation activities, helping to strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.

- You'll support the development and cross-skilling of the wider reconciliation team, ensuring strong capability across products, platforms and reconciliation types.

We're Looking For These Essential Skills

- Ability to perform and review complex General Ledger, balance sheet, bank and cashbook reconciliations within a controlled financial environment.

- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability, enabling you to investigate issues, interpret large datasets and develop effective resolution plans.

- Strong understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet controls.

- Ability to map end-to-end processes, identify risks and control weaknesses, and drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities.

- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent qualified by experience (QBE).

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence colleagues across Finance and the wider business.

It's a Plus If You Also Have These Skills

- Knowledge of SUN General Ledger and ReconNet applications.

- Understanding of reconciliation tool configuration and optimisation to improve automated matching and operational efficiency.

- Experience working within financial services, particularly card, lending or payments environments.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines.

- Experience supporting leadership teams with performance monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Externally this role may also be known as Senior Reconciliation Analyst, Financial Control Analyst, Finance Operations Analyst, Reconciliation Specialist, Banking Reconciliation Analyst, Payments Reconciliation Analyst or Balance Sheet Reconciliation Analyst.
