About the role
You'll sit at the intersection of US tax domain expertise, AI tooling, and product - translating messy CPA workflow problems into working demos, shipping specs engineers trust, and keeping stakeholders aligned across a fast-moving roadmap.
This is not a traditional PM role. You'll prompt models, wire up prototypes, and represent Atlas credibly in front of accountants and engineers alike.
What we’re looking for
Domain knowledge:
- 3+ yrs in US tax/accounting at a CPA firm or software company, or fintech serving accountants
- Should feel comfortable “doing the work” as a junior accountant
AI & Prototyping:
- Power user of frontier AI tools who can evaluate AI output quality for domain accuracy
- Can build a demoable version of a feature within days of a discovery session
Engineering Collaboration:
- Writes specs with clear edge cases and testable acceptance criteria
- Can participate in technical design discussions and understand tradeoffs
