Role Summary
We are seeking a senior, hands-on AWS Generative AI and Agentic AI Solution Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable AI and data platforms for Life Sciences. The role will translate reference architectures into production-ready AWS solutions spanning Agentic AI, ontology, knowledge graphs, semantic layers, RAG, and Databricks integration.
Key Responsibilities
Define target, transition, and implementation architectures, including HLDs, LLDs, architecture decision records, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
Architect Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, OpenSearch Serverless, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and event-driven patterns.
Design stateful agents, memory and context management, multi-agent orchestration, tool-calling, and downstream API interfaces.
Architect ontology, taxonomy, semantic-layer, and knowledge-graph solutions using RDF, OWL, SKOS, Amazon Neptune, vector search, and RAG.
Integrate AWS-native platforms with Databricks, including Unity Catalog and Databricks Genie.
Design secure application and data platforms across S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, Redshift Serverless, ECS, EKS, ECR, and CloudFront.
Own security architecture covering VPC, IAM, Cognito, KMS, Secrets Manager, encryption, private connectivity, least privilege, auditability, and regulated-data protection.
Drive production readiness across HA/DR, observability, performance, failure handling, guardrails, operational runbooks, cost controls, and Well-Architected reviews.
Define evaluation approaches for AI output quality, including accuracy, consistency, citation completeness, and hallucination detection.
Provide architecture governance, design reviews, technical troubleshooting, mentoring, and stakeholder leadership across AWS, Databricks, AI/ML, data, application, and DevOps teams.
Mandatory Skills Required
10 to 15 years of IT experience, including 6+ years of deep AWS experience and enterprise architecture ownership.
Strong AWS expertise across IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS/ECR, RDS/Aurora, Redshift, CloudFront, CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
Proven experience with Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, RAG, vector search, tool-calling, and multi-agent orchestration.
Strong Databricks knowledge, including Unity Catalog, Databricks Genie or comparable capabilities, and Lakehouse architecture.
Experience with RDF, OWL, SKOS, property graphs, semantic architectures, and Amazon Neptune.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST and event-driven integration, scalability, resiliency, observability, security, and cost optimization.
Experience with regulated workloads, private cloud connectivity, identity and access controls, encryption, and auditability.
Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation or CDK, CI/CD, and production deployment patterns.
Ability to lead architecture governance, documentation, technical reviews, stakeholder workshops, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Nice to Have Skills
Life Sciences, Healthcare, or another regulated-industry background.
Experience conducting proofs of concept, architecture validations, and technical demonstrations.
Experience with AWS Well-Architected reviews.
Knowledge of production evaluation frameworks for Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
