I’m currently hiring for a fast-growing AI & Data company focused on transforming Japan’s financial industry.
The company works closely with major banks, securities firms, and other financial institutions, combining AI consulting, advanced Data Science, and its own Generative AI products. It is also deeply connected to industry-wide AI and data communities, with the ambition to become the technical reference point for AI adoption across financial institutions in Japan.
Their Generative AI products have also been recognized by Nikkei as one of Japan’s AI startups to watch.
What you’ll work on:
- Lead LLM, RAG, and AI Agent projects
- Design prompts, LLM architecture, and API integrations
- Build Generative AI applications for financial workflows
- Work on local LLMs, AI guardrails, and LLMOps
- Lead projects from requirements through implementation
- Review and mentor other Data Scientists / AI Engineers
What they are looking for:
- Hands-on experience building LLM applications
- Experience with RAG, fine-tuning, LLMOps, or related technologies
- Strong Python / Data Science fundamentals
- Experience leading technical projects
- Financial industry experience is a plus, but NOT required
- Business-level Japanese is required
