What Will You Own
- Architecture & Systems Design - Design and own scalable, low-latency backend services from the ground up for various Financial Instruments. Make deliberate tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and speed of delivery.
- Technical Leadership - Set engineering standards, conduct design reviews, and raise the technical bar across the team - in code, architecture, and process.
- Execution - Drive projects end-to-end with a bias for speed. Run fast experiments with product and design, then scale what works.
- Engineering Culture - Mentor engineers, build a culture of ownership, and make the team around you better.
- Cross-functional Alignment - Translate business and product requirements into sound technical decisions. Be the bridge between engineering and stakeholders.
- Firm-wide Impact - Identify and fix systemic bottlenecks. Think beyond your team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of strong programming expertise in Golang and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience in building scalable, user-focused fintech platforms focused on investments, trading, wealth management, or market analytics would be a plus.
- Experience in building highly scalable REST APIs that align with Client's needs.
- Strong knowledge of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience in building scalable customer-facing applications that are high-performance, highly available, highly transactional, low latency, and massively distributed.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability.
- Experience in designing and developing service-oriented architecture.Experience with cache-store/message brokers like Redis, RabbitMQ,or Kafka.Understanding of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker is beneficial.Interest in learning new languages/frameworks as needed.
- Experience working in a startup environment with high levels of ownership and commitment.
