We're looking for a Mid/Senior AI Engineer to join a healthtech startup building AI Healthcare Employees that work invisibly inside clinical workflows. This is a 0 to 1 role: you'll rapidly prototype, validate, and build MVPs for new product bets, turning vague ideas into real signals within days rather than months. You'll work as a full-stack engineer with deep Python and AI expertise, shipping end-to-end without handoffs to other teams. The role demands extreme bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, and daily use of AI coding tools to move fast. You'll decide what to build, build it, ship it, and kill it quickly if it doesn't work. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who wants to own product bets personally rather than manage a team.

The project is a healthtech startup building AI-powered "employees" that operate inside clinical workflows without disrupting how care teams already work. Rather than shipping a single product, the team runs a portfolio of early-stage bets, testing new ideas quickly and doubling down only on the ones that show real traction. The culture is defined by extreme ownership and speed: engineers take an idea from a rough concept to a working prototype in days, validate it against real signals, and either scale it or move on. It's a fast-paced, high-ambition environment similar to top-tier Latin American scale-ups, where individual contributors are expected to own the full lifecycle of what they build rather than hand off pieces of it to others.
You have:
- A track record of owning 0 to 1 products from idea to shipped, gained through founding roles or early-stage startup tenure
- Full-stack technical range with strong Python and AI/LLM layer experience
- Based in Latin America — Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, or Chile
- Fluent English
- Nice to have: healthcare or clinical domain experience
- Nice to have: based specifically in São Paulo, Brazil
- Nice to have: experience at fast-paced, high-ambition LatAm scale-ups (e.g., Nubank, Rappi, Kavak, Loggi) or early-stage AI startups
