Job Description
We are looking for a NOC (Network Operations Center) professional who will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and maintaining the availability and performance of network infrastructure and IT systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, quick response to incidents, and effective coordination with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure, systems, applications, and services using monitoring tools.
- Detect, analyze, and respond to network or system incidents, alerts, and service disruptions.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnosis of network and infrastructure issues.
- Escalate incidents to the appropriate technical teams or vendors when required.
- Monitor network availability, performance, bandwidth utilization, and overall service health.
- Perform routine operational checks and ensure network and system services are running properly.
- Follow established SOPs, incident management procedures, and escalation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, troubleshooting activities, and operational events.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, or monthly operational reports as required.
- Coordinate with Network, System, Security, IT Support, and other relevant teams to resolve incidents.
- Assist in identifying recurring issues and contribute to preventive and corrective actions.
- Support maintenance activities, changes, and scheduled network or system operations.
- Ensure proper handover of ongoing incidents and operational activities between shifts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to network monitoring, incident handling, and operational processes.
- Perform other NOC-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant experience in NOC, Network Operations, IT Support, or Technical Support is an advantage.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, and switching.
- Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools is preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for network, server, and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes is an advantage.
- Understanding of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Able to work under pressure and respond promptly to incidents.
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
- Willing to work in shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, according to the operational schedule.
- Willing to work on a 24/7 operational support schedule if required.
- Willing to work onsite or according to the company's operational requirements.
Working Schedule
- This position requires shift-based work to support continuous network and system operations.
- Employees may be assigned to morning, afternoon, or night shifts.
- Shift schedules may include weekends and public holidays.
- Shift rotation and working hours will be arranged according to operational requirements.
