About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of core software infrastructure for next-generation Augmented Reality (AR) Head-Up Display (HUD) systems. This role focuses on low-level systems engineering, platform architecture, hardware and software integration, vehicle data ingestion, and real-time rendering technologies, helping transition advanced AR HUD prototypes into production-ready automotive solutions. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ software for AR HUD platforms.
- Build and optimize platform infrastructure supporting rendering, sensor integration, camera systems, and vehicle data processing.
- Develop real-time, latency-sensitive software with strict performance and reliability requirements.
- Integrate AR rendering technologies including Qt, OpenGL, and Vulkan.
- Support advanced rendering pipelines and synchronization between sensor inputs and visual outputs.
- Interface with vehicle networks and data systems using CAN and Ethernet.
- Integrate ADAS, localization, navigation, LiDAR, and vehicle data into AR visualization platforms.
- Debug, optimize, and validate system performance in both laboratory and vehicle environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, testing, optics, camera, ADAS, and supplier teams.
- Drive performance improvements, system reliability, and technical decision-making.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software development and testing.
- Contribute to 3D rendering, shader development, scene composition, and GPU optimization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of advanced C++ development in performance-critical applications.
- Strong expertise in multithreading, memory management, IPC, and concurrent systems.
- Experience architecting, designing, and implementing complex software systems.
- Experience integrating software with hardware, sensors, cameras, embedded platforms, or vehicle systems.
- Experience developing real-time or latency-sensitive applications.
- Strong background in performance optimization, scalability, and reliability engineering.
- Proven ability to work across software and hardware domains.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Qt, OpenGL, Vulkan, and modern graphics technologies.
- Experience with AR, VR, HUD, or advanced display systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including CAN and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with ADAS, perception systems, and vehicle data processing.
- Experience in prototype-to-production development environments.
- Linux/Unix development experience.
- Expertise in real-time rendering, shader development, and GPU optimization.
- Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or custom 3D rendering engines.
- Background developing performance-critical software for automotive, gaming, consumer hardware, mobile, PC, or embedded systems.
- Experience delivering highly optimized applications in hardware-constrained environments.
