Job Description
Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests while ensuring excellent service, product quality and a clean and well-organised bar area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests.
- Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.
- Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.
- Ensure sufficient mise en place, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies are available.
- Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.
- Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.
- Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.
- Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.
- Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.
- Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management.

Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beverages and basic bartending techniques.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Positive, friendly and service-oriented attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team player with a willingness to learn.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.
