Senior Manager: Data & AI Governance (6-Month Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Governance Senior Manager to support strategic advisory engagements for large enterprise clients, with a strong preference for telecommunications industry experience.
This is an opportunity for a seasoned consultant and governance SME who can rapidly assess client environments, solve complex governance challenges, and deliver practical Data and AI Governance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Data & AI Governance consulting engagements.
- Conduct governance assessments and maturity reviews.
- Design Data Governance operating models, structures and decision rights.
- Define data ownership and stewardship frameworks.
- Develop governance policies, standards, controls and implementation roadmaps.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops and executive presentations.
- Support AI Governance, Responsible AI and Generative AI governance initiatives.
- Contribute to proposals, methodologies and governance assets.
Required Experience
- 12+ years' experience in Data Governance, Data Management or Information Management.
- Significant consulting or professional services experience (mandatory).
- Proven experience delivering Data Governance advisory engagements.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- Ability to operate independently while managing complex governance workstreams.
- Experience producing executive-level recommendations and deliverables.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
Experience in several of the following areas:
- Data Governance Strategy & Operating Models
- Data Quality, Metadata & Data Lineage
- Master & Reference Data Management
- Data Risk & Regulatory Compliance
- Cloud Data Platforms & Modern Data Environments
- AI Governance & Responsible AI
- Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation or similar governance platforms (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Technology Management, Governance, Risk, or a related field.
