Senior Tax Manager, Indirect Tax

London, UK | Hybrid: two office days per week

Own a senior, hands-on global indirect tax role where technical expertise, practical judgement and stakeholder influence matter.

Finastra is looking for a Senior Tax Manager, Indirect Tax to join our Global Tax team in London. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on indirect tax compliance, audits and regulatory change across a complex international fintech environment.

Reporting to the Director of Global Indirect Tax, you’ll partner with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Operations and Technology to translate indirect tax requirements into practical, commercially sensible business actions.

This is not a purely advisory or review-focused role. You’ll be expected to get into the detail, prepare work end to end, take ownership without day-to-day micromanagement, and collaborate closely as part of a supportive global tax team.

What you’ll be responsible for

- Lead indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including VAT, GST, sales tax and other transaction taxes.

- Manage tax audits, authority enquiries and relationships with external advisers.

- Monitor regulatory developments, including e-invoicing and digital reporting, and turn them into practical business actions.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed tax requirements into processes, systems and change initiatives.

- Strengthen tax governance, controls, reporting and automation.

What we’re looking for

- A recognised accounting or tax qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, CTA, CMA or equivalent.

- Strong technical knowledge of indirect tax, including VAT, GST, sales tax or broader international indirect tax matters.

- Experience managing compliance, audits, regulatory change and tax authority interactions in a complex environment.

- Confidence working independently, applying legislation pragmatically and influencing stakeholders across functions and geographies.

- A collaborative, team-first approach, with the ability to build trust and work effectively within a global tax function.

- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar, plus strong Excel and data-analysis skills.

Experience within technology, fintech, software, SaaS or another services-led organisation would be particularly relevant.

This is a hybrid role, and regular travel to the London office is expected to connect with the team and wider Finance organisation.

Why join Finastra?

Global impact: Take ownership of indirect tax matters across more than 40 countries, with exposure to varied jurisdictions, regulatory requirements and business challenges.

Real influence: Play a visible role in shaping how indirect tax is embedded into decision-making, change initiatives, controls and day-to-day operations.

Varied, hands-on work: Combine technical tax expertise with practical problem-solving in a role that spans compliance, audits, regulatory change, systems and process improvement.

Collaborative team environment: Join a supportive global tax function where you’ll be trusted to take ownership while working closely with colleagues across Finastra.
