Full-Stack Software Engineer | Up to £95,000 + Equity | London (Hybrid)
I'm partnered with a high-growth deep-tech scale-up spun out of Imperial College London that's helping accelerate the future of electrification. Backed by leading investors, they've built a battery software platform already used by global automotive, aviation, and industrial customers, with a Series A on the horizon and ambitious growth plans.
They're now looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of their production SaaS platform, build the next generation of AI-powered capabilities, and work directly with the founders to shape both the product and engineering function as the business scales.
The role
- Take ownership of a production, multi-tenant SaaS platform used by paying customers, ensuring reliability, observability, security, and scalability.
- Work directly with the founders to shape platform strategy, influence technical direction, and help define the future engineering team.
- Design, build, and ship AI-powered features and agentic workflows, taking them from prototype through to production.
- Work across a modern stack including Next.js, TypeScript, Go, AWS Serverless, PostgreSQL, Supabase, Python, and public APIs.
- Support CI/CD, infrastructure as code, internal data tooling, and engineering best practices across the business.
What they need
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React, and modern full-stack development.
- Experience owning production systems, including deployments, monitoring, incident management, and operational decision-making.
- AWS Serverless expertise, including Lambda, IAM, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including schema design and production migrations.
- Experience building real-world AI features using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Comfort operating in a highly autonomous environment and partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A Plus
- Go experience or the confidence to pick it up quickly.
- Next.js, Vercel, PostgreSQL, and Supabase expertise.
- Experience building AI products using RAG, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, evaluation frameworks, and streaming interfaces.
- Python, Pandas, and data tooling experience.
- Startup or scale-up experience where you've helped build products at pace.
- An interest in batteries, scientific software, simulation, or climate technology.
What you'll get
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays.
- Enhanced parental leave.
- BUPA private healthcare.
- Annual learning and development budget.
- Monthly socials and company off-sites.
- Central London office with a state-of-the-art battery testing lab.
- Backed by leading European and US investors.
