Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Leader / API Integration Architect with 10+ years of experience in API and enterprise integration development, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes and experience designing and delivering APIs within modern, containerized, cloud-native environments.
Experience with AWS and Red Hat OpenShift is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in API development, enterprise integration, or related technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC).
- Strong experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP services.
- Solid understanding of API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and TLS.
- Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and XSLT.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical architecture, design specifications, and implementation plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions.
- Define scalable, secure, reusable, and high-performing APIs aligned with enterprise architecture and development standards.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and integration teams.
- Oversee the complete API lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and support.
- Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions and implementation strategies.
- Establish and promote API development best practices, integration patterns, security standards, and reusable services.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical direction on complex integration initiatives.
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, DevOps teams, and development teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
