Bilingual Technical Project Manager (Japanese / English)

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Bilingual Technical Project Manager to bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and global business stakeholders. In this role, you will orchestrate complex enterprise IT delivery while driving forward-looking initiatives in modern data engineering and AI.
Primary Role:
- Bridge & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, facilitating workshops to gather functional requirements and translating them into technical tasks for offshore developers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery for enterprise IT implementations, ensuring projects hit milestone targets, scope, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary bilingual communication bridge, translating complex technical architectures into clear business context for Japanese and global stakeholders.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and risk mitigation across distributed engineering squads.
- Manage executive stakeholder relationships with proactive communication, transparent reporting, and high-impact problem solving.
- Steer architectural alignments, pipeline discussions, and platform adoption across cross-functional product and infrastructure teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Languages: Native or near-native business fluency in both Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and English across verbal, written, and technical contexts.
- Technical Background: 5+ years of hands-on technical project management or Scrum Master experience driving complex software or IT infrastructure initiatives.
- Stakeholder Impact: Exceptional executive presence, high emotional intelligence, and proven ability to align cross-border, multicultural teams.
- Delivery Acumen: Deep mastery of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery frameworks, paired with crisp budget, scope, and timeline management.
Bonus Points
- Direct project management experience with Databricks, Data Lakehouse architectures, or enterprise Data & AI/ML platforms.
- Working knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Formal certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or Databricks platform credentials.
