Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategies. This role is a key member of our executive team, responsible for the financial health of our company. The VP of Finance will work closely with other senior leaders to drive growth and seek improvements in operational processes. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment in the Accounting + Finance industry, with a special focus on Wholesale Distribution, e-commerce, Import/Export, and Consumer Electronics.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, invoices, and bank reconciliations.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts, conferring with President, COO, and CFO.
3. Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in demand for products and services.
4. Supervise investment and cash management strategies.
5. Monitor and manage financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
6. Develop financial and tax strategies.
7. Manage capital request and budgeting processes.
8. Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
9. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
10. Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
11. Develop and manage financial dashboards for all departments.
12. Oversee the company's transaction processing systems and design an organization structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proven experience in Wholesale Distribution, e-commerce, Import/Export, and Consumer Electronics sectors.
4. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills.
10. Proficiency in analyzing and manipulating huge volumes of data.
11. Experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
12. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
13. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
14. Significant experience in managing the finance function (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a diverse, division-based entity.
15. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial reporting software.
16. Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
17. Proven negotiation skills experience in the commercial sector.
