Summary
We publish technical content about AI, engineering and digital delivery, and we need it to do three jobs at once: rank on Google, get cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity, and work as video.
Most writers do the first. Some do the second. Very few will sit in front of a camera and explain a model release in two minutes without reading off a script. If you can do all three, this is an unusually good seat.
This is an immediate opening. We are interviewing as applications come in and will close it the moment we meet the right person.
Who we are
eCorpIT (eCorp Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) is an IT consulting, design and strategy firm based in Gurugram. We build AI and automation systems, mobile and web platforms, and we run AEO + GEO + SEO programmes for clients who need to be found in AI answers, not just blue links.
We are a small senior team. Nobody here has a ghost-writing queue or a content factory behind them. What you write goes out under your name.
What you'll actually do
Write technical content that holds up to a technical reader. Long-form guides, comparison pages, service pages, launch explainers. You'll write about agent architectures, model pricing, Flutter vs React Native, Core Web Vitals, schema, cloud cost. You don't need to be an engineer. You do need to be able to read release notes and API docs without someone translating them first.
Own the search layer end to end. Not "write the draft and hand it to SEO." You'll do the keyword and prompt research, structure the page for snippet extraction, write the FAQ blocks, specify the JSON-LD, brief the engineer on internal links, and then check whether the page actually got picked up. Our process runs in six phases, from discovery and audit through technical foundation, AEO sprint, GEO sprint, AIO sprint and ongoing refresh, and you will be inside all of them.
Track AI and tech news daily, and be fast. Model launches, pricing changes, deprecations, WWDC, Google I/O, Microsoft Build, funding news that matters to our buyers. You decide what's worth covering, and a post or a video should be live the same day the news breaks, not the following Tuesday. A slow correct take is worth very little.
Present on camera. Short explainers, news reactions, client-facing walkthroughs. You script it, you shoot it yourself on a simple setup we'll give you, and our design team edits and packages it. You're the face and the voice; you're not expected to be a video editor.
Measure what you did. Every month we report on featured snippet share of voice, AI Overview inclusion across a tracked query basket, direct citations in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, brand mention velocity, and conversion from AI-referred traffic. You'll own the content side of that scorecard and be able to explain a drop without blaming the algorithm.
The split
Roughly 60% of your time goes to eCorpIT's own brand, which means our site, our blog, @eCorpIT on X, LinkedIn and video. The other 40% is client work, which is billable, which means deadlines that belong to someone else. Both halves matter. The brand work is how we get found; the client work is how we stay in business.
What we need you to already have
• Two years minimum of technical or B2B tech writing with published work we can read. Your portfolio matters far more than your years.
• Real hands-on SEO, not theory. You've used Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Screaming Frog or Sitebulb, and you can talk about a page you fixed and what happened after.
• Working knowledge of AEO and GEO as practice, not vocabulary. Answer-first structure, 40 to 60 word direct answers, extractable tables and steps, FAQPage and Article schema, author attribution, quarterly refresh discipline.
• For GEO specifically: you understand that most AI citations come from sources you don't own, so the job includes earning third-party mentions rather than only editing your own pages.
• Local search. Google Business Profile done properly, categories, attributes, weekly posts, review mining, LocalBusiness schema with sameAs, NAP consistency across directories. We sell in Gurugram and Delhi NCR and rank for it.
• A genuine AI news habit. If the last three model releases are news to you, this isn't the role.
• On-camera ability. Clear spoken English, comfortable in Hindi too if that's natural for you, able to hold a thought for ninety seconds without cue cards.
• You use AI tools for drafting and research and you're honest about it. We care that the output is accurate, sourced and doesn't read like a machine wrote it. We will check.
Helpful, not required
Basic HTML and markdown. Git. A YouTube, newsletter or X account you've grown yourself. Some video editing in CapCut or Premiere. Experience writing for a services or consulting firm where content had to produce leads, not impressions. Hindi-language video.
How we'll run the hiring
1. Apply with your portfolio. Three pieces, and tell us in a line each why you picked them.
2. A 20-minute call, mostly about what you've shipped.
3. A paid task, about four hours of work: one short explainer page on a topic we give you, structured for snippet and AI-citation extraction, plus a two-minute unedited self-shot video explaining the same topic. Phone camera is fine. We pay for this regardless of outcome.
4. A conversation with the team about the task, plus a live news-judgement exercise: we give you three things that happened this week and you tell us which one you'd cover and why.
5. Offer.
We aim to finish this in under two weeks from first call.
What good looks like in your first quarter
First 30 days. You've read our existing content and told us honestly what's weak. You've shipped four pages and two videos. You know our six-metric scorecard and where the baseline sits.
By day 60. The news desk is yours and running on a rhythm we can see. Snippet and citation tracking is live for your pages. You've taken a client deliverable through to delivery.
By day 90. Measurable movement on AI Overview inclusion and citation count for the pages you own, against the day-one baseline. Video output is predictable enough to plan around. You're briefing other people instead of waiting to be briefed.
Logistics
On-site at our Sector 83, Gurugram office, five days. Video work needs a room, a team and real-time back-and-forth, and that doesn't survive a remote calendar. Compensation is open and will match what you can demonstrably do, so tell us your expectation and we'll have a straight conversation about it. You get the camera, mic, lights, and paid seats on the research and tracking tools you need.
Who this isn't for
If you need a finished brief before you can start, if SEO means "add keywords at the end," if the camera is a dealbreaker, or if you want to write one polished essay a month, we'll both be unhappy.
How to apply
Email [email protected] with the subject line Technical Content Writer - [Your Name], and include:
• Your CV
• Three writing samples with a line each on why you chose them
• Any link to you on camera. Unedited phone video is completely fine. A 60-second clip explaining any recent AI launch works.
• Your notice period and earliest start date
• One paragraph: the most interesting thing that happened in AI this month and why our clients should care
- Nothing you send is read by a filter. A person reads all of it.
