Description
- This position requires a Masters Level Therapist to provide trauma-informed individual and group counseling services to survivors of IPV and children in Bronx, NY.
- The role is full-time with flexible hours, requiring evening and Saturday availability. The therapist will use generic technology for client management and reporting.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- 1-2 years of experience in trauma-informed domestic violence prevention.
- Experience with adults who have caused harm in relationships.
- Experience with abuse/batterer intervention programming.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Licensure or on track for licensure; LCSW preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practice.
- Understanding of family systems, relational and attachment theories.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Training and experience with NYC child welfare involved families preferred.
