Job Description
iitjobs is looking for a Systems / Infrastructure Engineering role supporting AI/ML with a strong understanding of server infrastructure, system architecture, and Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will help design, deploy, maintain, and scale the backend infrastructure powering on the Client's platform, with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain server infrastructure supporting Client’s platform.
- Work with bare-metal servers, compute infrastructure, storage, and networking.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and server environments.
- Support and optimize infrastructure for compute-intensive workloads, including ML inference and scientific computing.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and improve reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture, capacity planning, and infrastructure automation.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Server Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of server administration and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems.
- Good understanding of network architecture, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
- Understanding of bare-metal infrastructure and physical server environments.
- Experience supporting compute-intensive workloads, such as ML inference, AI workloads, HPC, or scientific computing.
Good to Have
- Experience with GPU servers / NVIDIA infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with high-performance computing or AI/ML infrastructure.
