About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer (Civil or Geotechnical) to join our Cairns team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop technical and practical experience within a supportive consulting environment.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of geotechnical projects and enjoy a balance of field investigations, construction support, and office-based engineering work, while working closely with experienced engineers and industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with geotechnical site investigations, field testing, and subsurface exploration programs.
- Undertake geotechnical logging and collection of field data.
- Assist in the preparation of factual and interpretive geotechnical reports.
- Support construction projects through site inspections, testing, and verification activities.
- Work collaboratively with senior engineers to deliver project outcomes and maintain high technical standards.
- Develop positive relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders through professional communication and service delivery.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Graduate or up to 3 years' relevant engineering experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within a consulting environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites when required.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Australian working rights are essential.
