Role Description This Caregiver/CNA role is available on a part-time or full-time basis and allows individuals to choose their own clients and pay rates within the 1+1 Cares platform. This is an on-site position based in Salinas, CA, providing in-home care and support to older adults. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with activities of daily living (such as bathing, dressing, and grooming), helping with mobility and transfers, and supporting medication reminders as allowed by state guidelines. Caregivers may provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and transportation to appointments or errands. The role also involves clear communication with families, following care plans, documenting observations, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and dignified environment for each client.
Qualifications
- Experience providing direct in-home care, including assistance with personal care, mobility, and safety monitoring.
- Ability to offer companionship, emotional support, and social engagement to older adults.
- Skills in basic household support, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, families, and care coordinators.
- Reliability and time management skills to honor agreed schedules and adapt to client needs.
- Current CNA certification or comparable caregiving experience is preferred; prior senior care or home care experience is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client homes in and around Salinas, CA.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings, and to comply with local and state care regulations.
