About This Role

Avita Care Solutions is rebuilding how technology gets into the hands of the people who deliver patient care, and we are looking for the person who will own that from end to end. This is a genuinely greenfield role. We have executive sponsorship, a newly approved procurement and asset management policy, a service management platform implementation underway, and a defined improvement program. What we need is an operations leader to run it.

As the Manager of IT Procurement and Asset Management, you will own IT procurement, Avita’s IT warehouse, asset lifecycle management, and secure asset disposition for a multi-site healthcare organization. You will hold our resellers and disposition partners accountable to their contracts, decide what gets sourced from stock versus bought new, and make sure every device that leaves our environment is accounted for. Along the way you will help shape the automation that replaces the manual work this function runs on today.

This is a hands-on, working-manager position based at our AvitaCare Atlanta clinic facility. You will spend time on the warehouse floor, not only in dashboards and vendor calls. If that combination of operational ownership and physical work appeals to you, read on.

Why Avita

Avita Care Solutions provides pharmacy and clinical services to communities that are too often underserved by the healthcare system. The equipment you source, stage, and deploy is what our pharmacists and clinicians use to take care of patients. When a pharmacy goes down, care stops. Operations work here has a direct line to patient impact, and the people doing it are treated accordingly.

What You Will Own

- Procurement and sourcing. Decide stock versus buy on every request, place and manage orders with our value-added resellers, and hold those partners to their committed pricing and lead times. Maintain the equipment standards catalog and guide new vendors through our legal, security, and finance review before any purchase order is issued.

- Avita’s IT warehouse. Run daily operations end to end: receiving, staging, storage, stock rotation, check-in and check-out control, imaging and testing throughput, and outbound shipping to our sites. Set and manage minimum and maximum stock levels so we stop running out of the things people need.

- Asset lifecycle and data integrity. Serve as steward of our IT asset management system, the system of record for every device, its state, its location, and its custody history. Run reconciliation audits, chase down discrepancies, and keep the data trustworthy enough that Finance and Security can rely on it.

- Secure asset disposition. Own the disposition process for retired equipment, including routing, pickup logistics, and chain-of-custody documentation. Hold our disposition partner to its contractual destruction-certificate timeline and escalate when it slips. In a healthcare environment this is a compliance obligation, not paperwork.

- Vendor and partner management. Manage the working relationship with our resellers, our disposition vendor, and our onsite field-services partner. Run quarterly performance scorecards, validate invoices against orders and receipts, and resolve discrepancies before we pay them.

- Process ownership and improvement. Publish the performance dashboard for procurement, assets, and disposition. Partner with our IT leadership and platform implementation team on the configuration of the service management platform, the asset system, and the workflow automation connecting them. Charter and deliver improvement work every quarter, and actively eliminate manual steps rather than absorbing them.

- Team and budget. Supervise a small Atlanta-based warehouse and asset support team. Contribute inventory forecasts and lifecycle replacement projections to annual IT budget planning, and report monthly on spend against plan.

What Success Looks Like

We measure this function, and we will be straightforward with you about how. Targets phase in as our platform implementation lands rather than applying on day one.

- First 90 days. Learn the environment, take ownership of the vendor relationships, establish reliable baseline measurement for cycle time, inventory accuracy, and destruction-certificate capture, and identify the three biggest sources of delay.

- Six months. Warehouse processing consistently meets its three-business-day turnaround. Destruction certificates are captured and reconciled on time, every time. Stockouts of standard equipment have stopped. Vendor scorecards are running.

- Twelve months. Steady-state performance against the published program: on-time fulfillment at 95 percent or better, asset-record accuracy at 98 percent or better, complete destruction-certificate capture, spend within 5 percent of plan, and meaningfully fewer hand-offs per request than we have today.

What You Bring

- Five or more years in IT procurement, IT asset management, or technology logistics, including at least two years accountable for service levels, budget, or team results.

- Direct experience managing reseller or value-added reseller relationships, including pricing, lead times, and holding partners to commitments.

- Experience operating a physical IT warehouse, depot, or staging facility supporting multiple sites.

- Working command of inventory fundamentals: minimum and maximum planning, reorder quantities, cycle counting, and reconciliation.

- Hands-on experience with IT asset disposition, including chain-of-custody and certificate-of-destruction processes.

- Comfort operating IT service management and asset management platforms, and experience acting as the business owner of a platform implementation alongside a technical team.

- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced Excel and building dashboards people actually use.

- The willingness to be persistently, professionally difficult with a vendor who is not meeting their contract.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience is welcome.

Nice to Have

- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or another regulated environment, and familiarity with HIPAA media-disposal requirements.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform or a comparable low-code workflow tool. You will partner with the team that builds our automation; you do not need to build it yourself.

- Experience with process-improvement methods such as LEAN or Six Sigma. Formal certification is a plus, not a requirement.

- Experience supporting device fleets across many locations, in healthcare, retail, or another distributed operation.

Practical Details

- Location and schedule: onsite at AvitaCare Atlanta (2140 Peachtree Rd), Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm ET.

- Travel of up to 15% supports multi-site deployments, inventory audits, and vendor visits.

- Team: reports to the Director, IT Corporate Systems, within Avita's Enterprise Technology organization. Supervises one to two warehouse and asset support staff.
